The RIDE Foundation
About Us
The R I D E Foundation is a dual-mission 501(c)(3) non-profit. We buy wild, at-risk horses from the Bureau of Land Management's Sale Authority List, as well as from other sources. The horses are brought to our property and trained to become loving and docile creatures. We then find them forever homes.
While our horses are being trained, we invite people in need to actively participate. Those suffering from post-traumatic stress, combat veterans, first responders, crime victims, and those with other types of emotional or developmental challenges, can all benefit from hands-on equine-based activities and education. Our participants learn nonverbal communication skills, leadership skills, self-confidence, and emotional stability; all of which can benefit other aspects of their lives and the lives of the horses.
